Hi all! I'm Dimitrios and I'm responsible together with a few other colleagues for a large python-based software package developed and used within Bosch and subsidiaries. Some time ago we switched from setuptools to poetry, mainly to allow pinning the dependencies for developers and making everone's life easier. We discovered and are now looking into pants because we plan to create multiple modular packages in a monorepo instead of one monolithic package. Also, the fine grained caching of builds is a big advantage and has worked for us, reducing a full test run of ~15 min to typically below 3 min. However, there are still some details to iron out, for which we have not been able to find the solutions. I'll write the exact circumstances and problems we encountered in the #general channel.
