Hi! My name is Rory and I am a software engineer with a data sharing company called Vendia. We have a lot of homegrown build tech that sprang up over the past 1-2 years, and am looking to replace it with a more well-formed build system. We had some engineers try out pants a bit earlier in the year, but didn’t quite finish it off. Now we are getting more serious about having a better process, so I am evaluating Pants (as well as Bazel and Please among others) as possible solutions 🙂

We have other users here who've done such comparisons, so if you have questions about how to set that up or what criteria to consider, feel free to start a conversation about that in #general By the way, you can configure Pants to use a custom name for BUILD files, allowing you to run Pants side-by-side with another build system. We don't believe in forcing users into major changes just so they can assess what they need. 🙂 Good luck!
