Yes, still very helpful. It blocks removing the Coverage plugin, which fixes a bug, improves perf, and allows us to allow custom coverage files

iirc, the issue was that setting the PYTHONPATH for pytest (or perhaps the PEX_EXTRA_SYS_PATH setting…?) was leaking into pexes run by the test

Yes, I believe that’s the case. But I was getting confused because I think there are 3-4 PEXes involved in the entire test setup
