I added a new GithHub workflow that runs on any `release_*` tag push. It's post-facto to the existing documented process and non-blocking. That may fail, and if so, I'll be looking in to it  / fixing it. There's new release docs (unpublished) about what to do when things go wrong (very bottom of doc) and that amounts to ~contact me at the moment. This is CP'ed to 2.14.x and 2.15.x.

`2.16.0.dev3` is in flight over here: <https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/pull/17831> … please hold off on merging other changes to `main`.

Hrm, yeah, the new workflow failed. I just ran the backfill script; so that's patched up but I'll need to put some time into figuring out what's up there.
