I talked to him today about that and they don't have a use really, they have a locked down fleet and can rely on a known good Python being available. They also do not have use for
--layout packed
, they just stuff PEXes in S3 as an intermediary store and are happy with the storage costs / bandwidth costs / transfer rates at the moment, although that may be just because way? less than containers.
If you have a known good interpreter on all machines, really no need for a scie.
