A contact informed me that Jane Street (a trading firm) is looking for a build engineer to help them with their Python ecosystem (they're mostly an OCaml shop). It's an on-site position in NY or London. Most of their Python code seems to be stuff written by traders and researchers that interacts with their actual trading platform in various ways. Sounds like an interesting challenge for the right person. I have a little more info and a more direct contact, so you can DM me for that if you're interested.

Really basic question - for those of you in here who work with the Pants Rust codebase, what were effective resources to learn Rust as a beginner? I’ve been trying to do Advent of Code challenges using Rust (this was a mistake) and I feel like even very basic stuff is unusually challenging for me to understand.
