Alas we can't sort it in the sensible way

And ~no one is reading docs for v1.27-1.29, or v2.0-2.10, say (and we no longer support those versions anyway)

Unfortunately there is no way to hide them just on the menu, the underlying docs versions will also be hidden

The new docs site is v2.0 only. If you want to live with this pain a little longer we can solve this problem over there

E.g. also hide form dropdown but not from direct links

unless it’s a pain to hide, I don’t see the reason to hold off until the docs switch..?

I still think it's worth it, certainly for 1.27-1.29, since there are are no versioned links to those in the help produced by those versions
