That’s known. The rust pr was merged after the release prep but I figured it could be part of the release as it’s an internal change not affecting the changelog.

Is there any reason you can't tag an earlier commit? Any reason you would want to tag a later one if not? Just trying to understand for myself

Oh, no I can tag an older commit, no problem. I just didn’t see any reason not to include the rust upgrade. So the release workflow will get a off looking title as it’s based on the commit rather than the tag, but that ought to be the only weird thing about it. When looking at release history you ought to look for the release tag, not the release prep commit, right,
