my first and second reactions are to say that (1) i hadn't considered this at all, and the docs are def clear that the expected use case is letting the crate walk the fs itself (2) which i kind of get, since ripgrep is depending on that crate to do fast parallel directory traversal, but it does seem like it's conflating the ignore logic with the fs traversal unnecessarily)
