i made a PR that fixes several blockers for using the v2 python pipeline at twitter: https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/pull/9431. one of the hackweek projects i worked on with others was a v2 rule to generate a virtualenv from a pex file to set up an appropriate environment for VSCode -- these changes are necessary for the project to work inside twitter.
