Thanks @busy-vase-39202
I'm working as a bioinformatician / research software engineer at the University of Melbourne's Centre for Cancer Research in Australia.
I'm looking into pants / PyOxidizer as a way that I can still use python and easily deploy tools to colleagues / collaborators without needing to worry about niche compatibility errors.

There's also @ancient-vegetable-10556 from Australia. And iirc @dry-analyst-73584 is from New Zealand?

Re easy, self-contained deploys, @enough-analyst-54434 is working on a new format for this, that is easier to use and more generalized than pyoxidizer (and more guaranteed to work even in weird corner cases), and I believe @wide-midnight-78598 is looking into Pants support for this format. So watch this space! 🙂
