Hi Carina (and others)! Thanks for the welcome. I'm part of a small ops/SRE team at a company that makes software/services for school systems. After hearing about Pants through various podcasts, I thought it might help us get over the bump of consolidating build processes and configurations across our various products (containerized serverless workloads in a variety of languages). Given the size of our overall org, we don't have the excess cognitive capacity to throw cycles at implementation work that Pants seems to have out of the box. Will be nice to have a north star we can point to and just say "this is what we're doing".

Cool! Yeah, Pants is great for relatively small teams that need the codebase to scale for rapid growth. A good build system helps everyone collaborate, and move forward quickly with greater confidence.
Do you happen to recall which podcasts you heard, or which talking points piqued your interest? It's always fascinating to learn what's been most effective.

TalkPython in particular... The breadth of languages supported is what really got me in interested. I use python for lots of maintenance tasks, etc. but many of our products are written in go and many/most are containerized
