Hey all: First draft of a plugin to build node package is here: https://github.com/compyman/pants-node! Thanks for everyones help on it. We need it for a very specific use case (replacing the heroku node buildpack to generate a webpack bundle) so that is what it is optimized for. It also integrates with my pants-docker plugin so you can include your generated node stuff into a docker image. As always an feature requests or ideas/opportunities for improvement are very welcome!
