Will it be possible to get Pex 2.1.21 into Pants v2.0.x? Or am I able to set the pex version I prefer for v2.0.0? I'm hoping to avoid installing pyenv on my Ubuntu CI server.

also, it is an external tool and so the version can be overridden:

./pants help-advanced download-pex-bin

Oh yeah, good point! It’s a little tricky to change it because you need to get the SHA256 for it and # bytes. There are instructions in the help message, but let us know if you have questions with it
