03/22/2021, 3:30 PMNow that we've agreed on backporting small low-impact features (see https://pantsbuild.slack.com/archives/G0107QFGGAW/p1616186544022000) I want to merge https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/pull/11749, however this means introducing the backport to rc1, which is still against policy, and rightly. So I will wait for 2.3.1rc0 to be promoted to 2.3.1 and then do 2.3.2rc0.
