@rough-minister-58256: i've got to go to a meeting, but a quick thought: i don't think we need the context lock around the whole "handle_request" call... it's already "acquired while warming the product graph" and "acquired while processing file notification events". so i think the last bit that is necessary is that it is acquired while forking.
