and deriving it for things you care about which is a good practice in general and rust is still a new ish language (rust meetups at mozilla were like the first reason i went outside when i interned here two summers ago) so if i think about this more and it still makes sense in general there is always the option to make a pull request or rfc or just a crate tbh
