in light of the changes we've made recently to use the console more effectively, does anyone have any thoughts on what sorts of color schemes would be useful to add to pants console output? @hundreds-father-404 since I know you've thought about this some in the context of python tool output

Most important thing to me is accessibility for people with color blindness, as possible. There are certain color combinations to avoid that make it more accessible. @dry-analyst-73584 did some research I think we found the color scheme used for

works pretty well. We’re using magenta, cyan, green, and red. I’d recommend sticking to those.

right. do we have any of those guidelines about colorblindness-friendliness written up anywhere?
and yeah we should ideally use consistent color schemes across all parts of pants
h
We don’t. I don’t remember finding any resources dedicated to accessibility with CLIs in particular. Lots of resources about the topic in general, though, like the importance of not relying on color and only using it to enhance.
I think Tansy had messaged the screenshots of our CLI to an accessibility Slack she’s a part of, and they thought it was good. So I’d stick with what we use for

, unless we have a strong reason to diverge
