I'm releaser today and it's the 2.9.0rc0 cut. Let me know if you need delays for various bits. I want to get in an upgrade to Pex 2.1.58 which will have a fix for Pants sandbox --cert passing via https://github.com/pantsbuild/pex/pull/1538. I don't plan on starting release activities until ~2pm Pacific or so at the earliest.

Sounds good. As far as review - you have expert review already afaict. I ~know nothing about tailor so this will be close to a rubber stamp. Maybe I'll learn a bit though.

The old review is stale, the approach changed a lot with the latest commit. I'm fine waiting tho, and no need to block the release. This isn't critically blocking anyone, only a broken window reported by sometime this week

Ok. Sounds good. It turns out the Pex upgrade is going to have to be passed over too - issues there with pylint. I'll charge ahead then with main as-is.
