I so badly want to fix our specs so that `dir` runs on the dir, not `dir:dir`. It was in the survey, but not sure that needs to be mentioned here

An example of something we might want to put some effort into, even though it wasn't a top vote getter, is <https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/issues/13767>

I think this would really help with onboarding new repos with minimal disruption, when they have multiple requirements.txt

Oh, and one other thing I didn't mention there but will is "distributing Pants as a standalone binary"
