Getting Pants into some of these "cookie cutter" projects would introduce people to Pants who'd never otherwise considered it. https://twitter.com/glyph/status/1522680851942678528?s=20&t=leXCxUgel5RLygUqtbrAug Is there any obvious reason Pants would not be viable fit for this one specifically? https://github.com/cjolowicz/cookiecutter-hypermodern-python

Relatedly, someone should comment on https://github.com/python-poetry/poetry/issues/936#
(I used to work with Ed when he made this issue. I suspect he was looking at Pants v1) @hundreds-father-404 is a very good worsdmith, maybe they wanna comment 😉 ?

Yeah, in 2019 there was no Pants 2. Interesting that the issue has stayed active for so many years. It really speaks to a need that Poetry is not ideally-suited to fill.
@hundreds-father-404 please do comment when you've got a chance. No rush. I actually think this has potential to be a blog post, if you're feeling more ambitious.

Man, "modern" languages do love custom configuration files... This looks like a JS project!
