Nice! Though fwiw, I'm not referring to one thread. It's been a recent emerging trend, and again not a problem. Just want to raise awareness that given there are 3 times as many members of #general it's a way to avoid answering a question multiple times. If that's not a concern for someone, no worries about answering in #welcome. It's worth prioritizing a principle of not greeting people at the door with "You ask questions wrong! Go away!". So any steering should be done with an extra measure of compassion for how awkward it can be to be a newbie trying to read a room.
