In recent weeks we've been exploring use of GitHub Discussions. Its biggest advantages include persistence (Slack messages disappear after 3 months), search engine indexing (the world doesn't know how welcoming and responsive this Slack community is!), and excellent integration with GH Issues. Now that folks have had a chance to give it a try, thoughts please! Shall we expand the experiment a bit by increasing the number of conversations we hold on it?

Yes, it would be great to use GH, because sometimes when I have an issue I google it, and if it is not found, I switch to search in slack and voilà, it has been solved already here 🙂

Yes, and I suspect that some people never get as far as the slack in the first place.
