I noticed that there was a backend plugin for https://www.kythe.io/ in Pants v1.. I’m curious about the tool but haven’t played with it yet and the docs where a bit dry to get a picture of what it actually does. Would it be interesting to revive support for it in Pants v2 for instance?

That was me! Back when we thought it would be useful for toolchain. We have no particular use for it any more though.
