anecdotally, spoke with some friends lately, they aren’t very happy with gitlab in general

any particular reason? i always viewed it as being used by people who think github is wrong for making money

service level things, stability, integration with CI and what not

i was talking with someone on twitter yesterday using gitlab for their complex enterprise software and i mentioned that we use mustache to generate yaml in pants and they thought that was useful

yeah very possible. hence ‘anecdotal’ 🙂

My brother’s company used gitlab and I recall them regretting the decision github was more robust and better features iirc

twitter open source has been expanding oss metrics and is working on things involving expanding github ci for our oss projects, not sure how much more i can say rn
