Hey, are there any conferences related to build/QA/release engineering/devops that would be a good fit for talking about stuff related to Pants or similar topics?
b
Oh heck yeah. DevOpsDays is a good choice, and they're held all over the world. Maybe one of the QCons as well. There's also Build Meetup (conference), which hopefully will happen again this spring. @melodic-ram-4612 any word?
f
Yeah I missed the cutoff for qcon sf this year, was looking to apply to that, but devopsdays seems to make sense
b
Do you already have ideas percolating for talk topics? If not, happy to help you brainstorm.
Don't forget too all the lang-specific conferences. There are a zillion regional Pycons. @ancient-vegetable-10556 could probably suggest some faves there. And it would be great to see a Pants talk at a conference where JVM or Go users congregate. @witty-crayon-22786 @polite-zebra-76126 got any recs?
f
I have some topic ideas, but the Pants-related ones will be around the lines of what I'm doing or trying to do with it
b
I still think that anything about how in the heck to manage migrating from polyrepos to monrepo would be interesting and useful. Pants inevitably will come up in that, but it's an excellent topic that beyond the tooling.
Oh, also, the CFP for All Things Open, in Raleigh, closes shortly and is another good prospect. https://www.allthingsopen.org/call-for-papers-2022/

late here: but i’m mostly familiar with the headline conferences for the various languages (Scala Days, RustConf, etc) rather than the more polyglot ones
