Does anyone know if there's been any recent progress in relation to using Pants with MyPy's daemon?

I doubt it? We already leverage the mypy cache. Introducing the daemon would maybe be possible? But would also have corner cases. What kind of difference are you measuring in timing between a cached mypy and the daemon?
