I upgraded to 2.31.1rc1 to get this patch, but now I hit another problem <https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/issues/23328>
downgrading coursier locally to `v2.1.6` didn't help

now I'm stuck, because 2.30 doesn't have the bugfix, and 2.31 has a regression. Could you please either revert the coursier changes or backport the bugfix to 2.30 branch?
