I thought I got Mandela Effect'd here https://github.com/astral-sh/ty - as I recall it being in the ruff repo, but they mentioned that development happens in the ruff repo - so I guess this is/was a placeholder

They are including ruff via a git-submodule.
So maybe this is for deployment or testing?
Seems to have commits from this week, so would seem to be active.
It's funny how the Python ecosystem is being rewritten in Rust. Might as well use Rust directly ...

I don't mind this - just like I'm pretty excited for mojo - I like simple syntax languages with large standard libraries. The exact opposite of rust.

yeah was a bit of a joke 🙂 -- The learning curve alone of Rust would eat away scarce developer time when they could just be shipping with Python.
