sometimes running commands like:
```pants --changed-since=origin/main lint```
doesn't actually do anything. Does anyone know why?

I’m assuming that there are lintable files that have changed relative to origin/main in the workspace you’re running this in?

In case it’s not clear, if your git state is clean that this will no-op by design

So `--changed-since=GITREF` tells pants “act only on files that have changed since that GITREF”

You can also add `--changed-dependents=transitive` to say “act only on files that have changed, or that transitively depend on files that have changed”
