Jumping on the "land my stuff before" branching train! https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/pull/22242 fixes a bug that is important for anyone using Pip 25.1 (or 'latest`, which is I think the default)

I’m releasing 2.27.x so I will cut after putting out a call to land stuff
