as I have a local plugin to work with TypeScript sources (for dependency inference only, no packaging/running), I had an idea that maybe we could port it upstream which led to a few PRs being merged last year adding
typescript_sources
and
typescript_tests
as well as the
tailor
goal to understand those. I was told there may be some space for some support (discussion), but I appreciate life may change priorities and time available to contributors. I am not quite sure what to do with the ongoing work? My plan was to raise minimal PRs increasing the completeness of the dependency inference e.g. starting with https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/pull/20293, but I can't quite accommodate the feedback time/effort wise as I am not that closely familiar with TypeScript yet and my plugin works my company's needs (which may not reflect the needs of the community). I know everyone must be very busy, but thought it might be worth checking if I should just stop any further work on TypeScript as there's no bandwidth in the community to progress on this right now? @worried-painter-31382 @ancient-vegetable-10556 many thanks!
