I've been doing <https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/issues/20846|the  2.21 release manager activities>, and it looks like the 2.21.x branch is getting pretty stable.
• I've prepped <https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/pull/20935> for a 2.21.0rc0 release (a review please, if you have a moment)
• Once that's out, I'll do another testing call out, and then we can let it bake for a ~week and then maybe do 2.21.0 next week if it's all okay!
• This means only critical bugfixes landed in the `2.21.x` branch please, e.g. regressions since 2.20. (Or doc edits!)
