Thanks Benjy - hi everyone, I'm an engineer @ https://usebasis.co/. I had used Bazel casually in the past, and had been comparing it vs Buck(2), Please, and Pants(2) for a while now. The reason I picked Pants was because our stack is predominantly Python - with some TypeScript / JavaScript mixed in for web stuff. Being that our core product is an API (in Python), and seeing that Pants has a relatively lower barrier to entry than Bazel while still aiming to match Bazel in its benefits, I've decided to convert our few codebases into a Pants-driven monorepo.
