hello, I'm a software engineer at https://www.proximafusion.com . we use pants for Python-, Docker- and packaging-related things, but have to mix it with other tools for Fortran/C++ builds. sometimes it's very hard for me to figure out what pants is doing or why it is doing it, so I hope to get some eye-opening answers here 🙂 (I already posted in #general).

Hi. I'm a software engineer with project44. Just started using pants to manage a mono repo of data integration docker images, hopefully scaling to 100s of individual projects. A data integration consists of a spec in a DSL and python code. We hope to add java as a supported language as well. The ability for pants to work on --changed-since including transitive dependencies is crucial to us. Joined here as I often have a hard time finding help otherwise online. Really like pants so far but it's a bit magical in the beginning and has a learning curve for sure 😊

Hello, I'm Azade, a data engineer in https://www.galaxus.ch/. We have a monorepo, and we believe we are getting to the point that not having a Build tool is causing too much pain regarding dependency management, and running tests. At the moment, I am working on a Pants PoC to introduce it to our monorepo. However, I must admit I am a bit confused about some concepts, and definitely will reach out for guidance and help 🙂
