Hey All, Ive tried to use Pants before unfortunately unsuccessfully and would love to give it another try. Going through the web trying to look for a tool which provides a dependency graph for a python monorepo build always takes me back to Pants so i guess I might have missed something here. What we currently have is: 1. a monorepo which is quite Spaghetti with dependencies which are all over the place (some might be circular) 2. Im starting with an approach in which im takes pieces of the code to a sub directory in our codebase and building packages there which enhances decoupling and testing What I would like to achieve: 1. build in CI (Currently Github Actions) which builds only the necessary deps packages based on a graph 2. publish the packages to codeartifactory to be consumed 3. Build and publish docker artifacts to ECR current stack: 1. python 3.11 2. Poetry 3. Github actions Last time a decided to stop working with Pants when I reached the CI part due to long running process and bombardment of GHA cache. Would love to consult with the community whether or not these goals are achievable using Pants. Thanks 🙂

Hi! Yes, these goals should be achievable. In particular, Pants was designed to handle circular deps (since unfortunately they exist in real codebases).

Feel free to ask questions in #general, and if you need it there are community members who do contracting for setting up Pants in a repo.
