I'm going to work with my sponsor to submit <https://peps.python.org/pep-0712/|PEP 712> for approval.
Hopefully that means I can `typing_extensions`' support of the field in `dataclass_transform` to get the changes backported for Pants before Python 3.13 :slightly_smiling_face:
