FWICT the release managers have been doing a good job of doing their duty on Fridays - sometimes slipping to the weekend or Monday or else trading slots with other release managers. We've had a few slips, but not many. I could gather data if you disagree - I may not have a good mental ticker-tape on this. And - fwiw - you could add yourself to the rotation as a committer to help out if you want.
