afaik, yeah - historically there was {PEX,PANTS,PYTHON}_VERBOSE; PYTHON_VERBOSE seems to be gone, PANTS_VERBOSE is replaced with -ldebug and PEX_VERBOSE=5 is like running ‘pex -v -v -v -v -v’ etc.
