I don' t think this change will break anything, I don't think we use this name for anything in our plugins. We do try to reconstruct the original jar name in one of our custom plugins, but we use the product data for that. I would say that it is nice that currently the name of the jar is the same as the one pulled down from the external source, and that the 'index' feature still feels silly to me.
