A lot of our devs are used to hot-reloading via webpack (e.g. react, redux). I did a short spike on how I could make it fit with pants but got nowhere. If I can't make the dev experience on-par with our current setup, I can't move the node/web stuff into our monorepo yet. I'm going to take proper time on this once I get all of our services into the monorepo though.
