I just submitted a PR to enable PyFlakes in Pants. https://rbcommons.com/s/twitter/r/3601/ I'm not sure if there is any history with having these checks enabled or disabled in CI? It seems like most of the PyFlakes checks http://flake8.readthedocs.org/en/latest/warnings.html are useful and they work hard to minimize false positives.
