looks like the new list subtraction syntax might’ve subtly broken list options whos literal values are prefixed with a

-

(but not

-[]

) - in our case,

./pants filter-minimize --filter-minimize-regex=“-(^3rdparty|…)”

now results in

ParseError: The value cannot be evaluated as a literal expression: invalid syntax (<string>, line 1)

. worked around it for now with

--filter-minimize-regex=“+[‘-(^3rdparty|…’]”

, but just wanted to give folks a heads up.
