@great-midnight-1044 : re "One question: have you ever benchmarked how much it takes to rewrite the analysis files?" -- yes, but not recently. The reason the analysis rewrites were initially ported out of zinc itself and into the python code surrounding it was that analysis serialization was slow. see Benjy's comments above
