get_support_dir()

overrides on protoc and and buildozer_binary (if that's what you were thinking -- i could also remove them in another pr building out the native code subsystems). i also saw your comment on returning a path to an unpacked archive vs a single file, and thinking it over again i agree, i think that's ok to keep as-is. my concern with it wasn't really well-defined.
