While putting together a

contrib.thrifty

PR, I’m taking the code that was working against 1.4.x and copying it into master, and am noticing something unexpected, where synthetic target dependencies seem to be getting dropped. I’m seeing this in two places: * A downstream

thrifty_library

does not appear to be transitively bringing it’s upstream thrifty_library to the classpath. * The synthetic target extra deps do not appear to be transitively added to the classpath. If I explicitly list our all the deps in a

java_library
