we do have an experimental

--loop

mode which i believe works but it requires tasks to be rewritten to use the new engine as per https://github.com/pantsbuild/pants/tree/master/src/python/pants/engine/README.md — this is something we are making progress on now but the python pipeline has the most progress currently and has only an experimental test runner. definitely watch this space imo as this is something i personally am very excited about
