No Docker?
b
Question to all: Why did you choose Pants instead of a different build system or creating ad hoc shell scripts? What else differentiates Pants in your pov from other approaches? What's not on that list yet of things where Pants shines in comparison to what you've looked at?

Docker support came in a bit after I started using Pants, but it has definitely streamlined my deployment workflow. My original reason to use Pants was because I needed monorepo support for Python microservices, and even a step further, just some decent Python support

@wide-midnight-78598 Docker support is definitely a feature we're proud of and that is extremely useful. But Docker support is available elsewhere too; ditto for support of Go, Java, Scala. But they're not a differentiator. This section is meant to focus on where Pants stands apart from the crowd rather than a full feature list. But this is a good reason for adding something immediately after that section to note additional features such as Docker, language support, etc.

That's fair - my thought was moreso about how they work together seamlessly - rather than needing to use multiple tools to accomplish something.

It's very nice work. @curved-television-6568 is probably tired by now of hearing the thank you's but too bad because truly it has been such a great contribution.
