Hey folks, just started looking into Pants as a replacement for Bazel for our python monorepo. It's been great to work with so far/wiring up our basic python sources & unit tests was fairly straightforward. The next step is to start migrating individual modules that explicitly depend on the structure of the bazel runfiles tree etc to weaken some assumptions that are made. Does anyone else here have experience migrating from Bazel to Pants that'd be game to chat/answer some other questions?

Initially looks very promising though -- we should be able to cut down the amount of build boilerplate by ~85-90% across the board

We're on the tail end of a migration just like yours! I"m happy to chat all things migration as well as Pants (I've enjoyed Pants, the community and the tool, so much I'm now a maintainer of the project)
