Three things, although the 1st may just be me:
+ Text is better than screen shots: you can't easily cut / paste / work with screen shots. Bad for support.

So, the last two bullet points are solutions. The very last is probably what you want, but you also probably want to do the second as well. It's generally not good to be hacking Python and have only 1/2 a Python interpreter installed. This packaging choice by Debian causes a lot of people issues!
